PAST EVENT

RuGate at The Greater Caspian Region Forum

Forum “The Greater Caspian Region – A Corridor for Energy, Logistics and Trade Flows between Asia and Europe” organized by the JCC took place on 12.10.23 in Zurich.

I am glad I was able to attend at this large-scale event, to get to know the current situation in the Caspian Region, meet and talk to Forum’s speakers, Forum’s organizers and visitors.

The FORUM focused on the following topics:

- The Greater Caspian Region as a source of traditional and renewable energy, multi-modal logistical linkages and trade flows between Europe and Asia;
- The Trans-Caspian Trade and Transit Corridor (TCIT)) as a route for transporting cargo and energy;
- A geopolitical analysis of BRICs enlargement and its effect on the Greater Caspian Region;
- The impact of sanctions on the Trans-Caspian Corridor as routes for energy and trade;
- The potential business opportunities for Swiss and international companies.

“…The Trans-Caspian Trade and Transit Corridor is a key block of European and Asian connectivity. Comprised of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, and Turkey to the west, and Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan to the east of the Caspian Sea, the corridor serves as an essential overland route linking the European Union, China, India, and the Middle East…”
